1. What is Slice?

Slice is a modern corporate card & expense management platform that helps finance teams save money and time by automating manual tasks and providing real-time visibility into business spending. With Slice you can easily create budgets for employees, vendors and subscriptions, set smart spending limits, implement lightweight approval flows for increased control, and manage spending globally with the ability to hold balances and spend in multiple currencies like USD, GBP, EUR, and more. Global Bank Accounts and global payouts are coming soon.

2. Why use Slice?

i. Real-time visibility into spending. Set smart spending limits, cancel subscriptions with one click, issue virtual and physical cards, and much more.
ii. Create budgets for employees and vendors, with advanced spending rules like category and merchant restrictions, expiration dates, transaction limits and more.
iii. Establish a well-defined, lightweight process to approve expenses.
iv. Support for companies with global operations by providing multi-currency business cards, global payouts, global bank accounts, FX and more.

3. How does Slice work?

In order to use Slice customers must load funds into their account first. Each customer is provided a Global Account in their region (e.g.: the US). A Global Account is like a regular bank account under the customers name. Customers can link an external bank account and top up their Slice account via direct debit (at no cost), or they can transfer funds via the Slice Global Account using the transfer instructions provided within the Slice dashboard.

Once the funds are available in Slice, customers can hold balances and spend in multiple currencies using Slice corporate cards and global payouts (coming soon).

Virtual cards can be used on digital wallets like Apple Pay & Google Wallet.

4. Can anyone open a Slice account?

Slice is available to businesses in the US. Customers must be registered in the United States as a Corporation, Limited Liability Company, or LP (nonprofits welcome). At this time, we do not accept individuals, sole proprietors, and other types of unregistered businesses. We will be expanding to new regions soon!

5. Do I need to be incorporated in the US?

We are currently available only for companies incorporated in the US. As long as your company is registered as a legal entity in the US (Corporation, LLC or LP), you might be eligible to use Slice.

6. How do I signup for Slice?

Go to app.slicepayments.co and sign up, it takes only a few minutes to open an account with us. Once your information is submitted, our team will review your account within 24-48 business hours.

7. Is Slice free?

Signing up for and using a Slice Card for US purchases is free, although international payments, payouts, FX, and other optional services may incur transactional fees.

8. Is Slice a Bank?

Slice is not a bank. We've partnered to provide Global Accounts, Corporate Cards, Payouts, FX, and more.

9. Where can I use Slice? 

You can use your Slice Card anywhere Visa is accepted. Exceptions might apply where prohibited by law or as otherwise described in your Charge Card Agreement. 

10. Why do I have to provide personal information (including SSN)? 

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who signs up for Slice.

What this means for you: When you sign up for Slice, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. 

11. My Card is lost/stolen/damaged. What do I do? 

Please contact support and we'll be happy to assist.

1. What happens when I sign up?

Our team and partners will review your application. We aim to respond within 24-48 business hours. We might also reach out to request more information in case needed as part of our KYB/KYC process.

2. How long does it take to be approved?

Usually 24-48 business hours. 

3. Can I open Global Accounts in other regions?

Yes, Slice customers can apply and open global accounts in other regions. This means your business can access global banking and manage spending worldwide through a single unified platform.

4. Does Slice perform company credit checks?

No, we do not perform credit checks, and we do not offer credit as of now.

5. Do I need to connect my bank account?

Connecting your bank account is optional. If you want to top up your Slice account using Direct Debit (at no cost), then you can use our Plaid integration to load funds and top up your account. Else you can use other methods, like ACH or Wire, to top up. your account.
